Death Race 2006

In June last year I was driving the FIL (father-in-law) and MIL around NE Scotland on the day before they officially took on those roles.

FIL was amazed by how rigourously Scottish drivers observed the rules of the road. "Well," says I, "for instance it is illegal to overtake on the inside so people do not do it unless they are forced to."

"Oh we have the same rules in Estonia, but HERE you actually observe them!"

Having driven in Estonia for some 13 years up to that point I was unsure if there were in fact any rules to be followed on the roads as the normal driving maxim seems to be he-who-hesitates-is-lost.

Yes Read the highway code that will tell you what the british driver is tested against.

The photo you show is a good example of those that don't.
